Installation
The installation process, how to vet a solar company and Karachi site issues.
A house electrician and a solar technician are not the same job. The difference shows up in DC wiring, earthing and protection.

An electrician knows house wiring, which is alternating current at 220 V. A solar installation adds direct current from the panels, which can run at several hundred volts. That is a different hazard, and it needs different parts and habits.
Some electricians are experienced in solar. Many are not. The difference shows in how they run cables, choose breakers, join connectors and test the earth.
Ask before you hire. The questions below separate a careful worker from a hopeful one.
A rough guide. Real people vary, so ask for proof.
| Task | House electrician | Solar technician |
|---|---|---|
| AC wiring and distribution board | Yes | Yes |
| DC string design and wiring | Often not | Yes |
| Choosing DC breakers and SPD | Often not | Yes |
| Mounting structure and anchoring | Not usually | Often with a crew |
| Inverter programming and battery setup | Rarely | Yes |
| Earth testing | Sometimes | Yes, with a tester |
| Grid application papers | No | Not a technician task, a PPIB pre-qualified vendor files it |
A good technician answers each one without hesitation.
Two quotes for the same job can differ by a large amount. Before you pick the lower one, put them side by side and check what each includes.
Look at the cable size and type, the brand of the breakers and the surge protector, the material of the structure and how it is fixed, and whether earthing and testing are listed. A quote that names none of these is a guess, and a guess is cheap for a reason.
Also ask how long the work takes and who is on site. A job done in a hurry by an unsupervised crew is where mistakes happen. Ask what happens if the system fails in the first month, and get the answer in writing.
A panel makes power whenever light falls on it, so the wires are live during the day and cannot be switched off at the source. A DC arc burns longer than an AC arc. A loose connector or an AC breaker used on a DC line can overheat. That is why we cover DC breakers and surge protectors on their own page.
We install the systems we sell. We do a site visit, give an itemised quote and hand over warranty papers. Warranty repairs are done by the brand, and all other after-sales service is done by us.
If you already have a system and need work done on it, tell us what it is and we will advise. Our installation guide shows what a careful job includes.
Short answers. For your own property, send us your electricity bill and roof details.
Ask on WhatsAppSome can, but DC wiring, earthing and protection need solar experience. Ask the questions above before you decide.
Ask for past work you can verify, a written quote with every part named, and clear answers on DC protection and earthing.
Be careful. Panels are live in daylight and DC can be dangerous. Leave wiring to trained people.
We do all after-sales service apart from warranty repairs done by the brand. Contact us with details of your system.
Tell us the brand and the fault. We will advise what we can do.
