Solar Shops & Dealers
How to check a solar shop or dealer in Karachi before you pay.
Many buyers go straight to the solar markets in Karachi. Buying there can work, if you know what to check. This guide covers the checks that matter.

There are three ways to buy solar equipment in Karachi. You can buy from a market shop, from a dealer or distributor, or from an installer who supplies and fits the system.
A market shop is good for comparing prices on loose items. You carry the risk of choosing parts that suit each other, and you need your own installer. A dealer or distributor sells in volume and often gives better paperwork. An installer sells a complete system and carries responsibility for how it works.
We sell and install ourselves. We also quote loose equipment for people who just want to buy.
A quick comparison of what you get from each route.
| Point | Market shop | Dealer or distributor | Installer (full system) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Loose parts and small items | Bulk or branded stock | A working system |
| Matching of parts | Up to you | Up to you | Done for you |
| Paperwork | Varies, ask for an invoice | Usually proper invoices | Itemised quote and invoice |
| Installation | Separate | Separate | Included |
| Who fixes problems | You chase the shop | Dealer or manufacturer | The installer |
These checks apply in a market, at a dealer or anywhere else.
Used panels are sold in Karachi at lower prices. They may have lost output, hidden cracks or hot spots, and they usually come with no warranty. If you buy used, test the panel under full sun with a meter and compare it with the label. Buy used only for low-stakes uses, and never for a system that your home depends on.
Solar prices in Pakistan follow the exchange rate, import duties and taxes, and stock at the port. A rate you saw last month may not hold today. Ask for the date of any price list you are given.
Taxes also change. Imported solar panels carried a 10 percent sales tax from the 2025-26 budget, and a higher rate was discussed ahead of the 2026-27 budget. Reports in June 2026 said the budget kept the 10 percent rate. Make sure an invoice shows the tax so you know what you are paying.

Ask on WhatsAppSometimes the loose price is lower. Add the cost of an installer, matching parts and the risk of no warranty before you decide it is cheaper.
Match the label with the datasheet and the box, check the serial number, and buy from a seller who gives a proper invoice and tells you who honours the warranty.
Yes, but the same checks apply. Ask for the datasheet, the invoice and the warranty terms before you pay.
Yes. Tell us the brand and quantity and we will quote it.
Be careful. Output and condition are uncertain and warranty is rare. We do not recommend used panels for a home system.
