Solar Shops and Dealers in Karachi

Karachi has many solar shops. Choosing one is a matter of paperwork, stock and after-sales, not of the biggest sign on the road.

What kind of seller are you dealing with

A solar shop sells equipment over a counter. A dealer or distributor sells in volume, often with brand paperwork. An installer sells a system and fits it. Many businesses do two or three of these.

The type matters because it tells you who is responsible when something goes wrong. A shop that sells loose parts is not responsible for how they work together. An installer that sells a system is.

We sell and install ourselves. We also quote loose equipment for people who only want to buy.

Seven checks before you pay a shop

Do these in order. They take an hour and can save a great deal.

  1. 1

Ask for the quote in writing

It should name the brand, model, wattage and quantity of each part.

  2. 2

    See the stock

Check the boxes and labels of what you will receive, not only a sample.

  3. 3

    Match the label and datasheet

The model on the box, the label and the datasheet must agree.

  4. 4

    Ask who gives the warranty

Ask if it is the shop, the importer or the brand, and how a claim is made.

  5. 5

    Get a proper invoice

It should show the model, the quantity, the date and the sales tax.

  6. 6

    Ask about installation

Is it included, separate, or not offered?

  7. 7

Ask where to go after the sale

Find out who you call when something fails.

Questions that reveal a seller

A good seller answers easily. A poor one avoids.

A low price is a question, not an answer

A price far below others usually has a reason. It may be used panels, a lower grade, a missing warranty or a smaller wattage than stated. Ask the reason. If the seller cannot explain it, treat the low price with suspicion. Our buying guide lists more checks.
