Solar Panels
Panel brands, wattage, price per watt and what suits Karachi conditions.
The best panel is the one that fits your roof, your budget and Karachi heat. This scorecard helps you pick it, case by case.

Best for a flat concrete roof in a coastal city is not the same as best for a farm in a cooler region. Karachi means heat, humidity near 61 percent, salt air and dust. A panel that handles those well, with a clear warranty, is the best in practice.
Price matters too. The cheapest panel per watt may lose more output in the heat. The most expensive may give extra efficiency you cannot use because your roof has plenty of space.
So we rate panels on fit, not on fame. The scorecard below turns that into a method.
Give each panel a mark from 1 to 5 on these lines, then add them up. Weigh the lines that matter most to you.
| Line | What a high score looks like | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Heat behaviour | Small power loss per degree above 25°C | Temperature coefficient on the datasheet |
| Efficiency | More watts per square metre, useful on small roofs | Datasheet |
| Warranty | Clear product and performance terms with a named claim path | Warranty document |
| Salt and humidity | Passed salt mist and humidity tests, with sealed connectors | Test certificates |
| Availability | Same model can be bought again for expansion | Seller |
| Price per watt | Fair for the grade, with tax shown | Quote and invoice |
There is no single winner. These are starting points for the conversation.
A list that ranks panels without showing test data is a sales tool. We do not publish a ranking, because we cannot test panels ourselves. Read the datasheet of any panel you consider, and ask the seller to show the numbers in the table above.
The temperature coefficient of power tells you how much output the panel loses for each degree above 25°C. Karachi has an average daily maximum of about 35.7°C in May and June. Panel cells run hotter than the air, so the loss is real in the afternoon.
A smaller number means a smaller loss. Compare it across panels in the same size class. Read our Jinko page for how N-type and P-type differ.
Shortlist two or three models and ask for datasheets. Then compare price per watt with tax, using our price per watt method. If you want help, send your bill and a photo of your roof, and we will propose layouts.

Ask on WhatsAppIt depends on your roof area, budget and outages. Compare efficiency, temperature coefficient, warranty and price per watt for the models you are offered.
N-type panels usually handle heat and ageing a little better, so they suit hot cities. Check the datasheet figures.
Not always. Extra efficiency helps most when roof space is tight. On a large roof, a good mid-priced panel can be better value.
Ask for the datasheet, test certificates and warranty terms. Match the model on the box, the label and the invoice.
