Solar Panel Maintenance and Repair in Karachi

A solar system does not need much, but it does need something. Dust, salt air and loose fixings cost output long before anything fails.

What wears in Karachi

Karachi is dusty, salty and humid. Dust lies on the glass and cuts output. Salt air attacks bare metal and weak connectors. Humidity near 61 percent, higher in August, finds every gap in a cable gland.

None of this means a system will fail. It means that a short routine pays back. Most faults are found by looking, and the cheapest repair is the one done before the problem grows.

A simple maintenance schedule

A guide, not a rule. Adjust it to your roof and your dust.

Cleaning panels safely

A few simple rules protect both the panels and the person.

  • Clean when cool. Rinse in the early morning or the evening. Cold water on hot glass can stress it.
  • Use clean water and a soft brush or cloth. Do not scrub with abrasive pads, which scratch the coating.
  • No pressure washers. High pressure can force water into seals.
  • Do not climb onto the panels. Walk on the roof, not on the glass.
  • Mind the roof edge. Do not clean a roof without a safe way to stand. Hire someone with the right access if in doubt.

Common faults and first checks

For information only. Do not open the inverter or touch DC wiring. Call a technician.

Safety first

Solar panels make power whenever there is light, and the DC side stays live even when the grid is off. Do not open inverters, touch exposed DC cables or work on a wet roof. If you smell burning or see smoke, keep away and call a qualified technician.

Every 2 to 4 weeks in dusty months is a common guide. Look at the glass and at the output on the inverter screen.

Yes, if the roof is safe. Use clean water and a soft cloth, in the early morning or evening, and never climb onto the glass.

Common reasons are dust, new shade, the season, a tripped breaker or a failed string. Check the inverter for error codes.

A routine of cleaning and a few checks a year is a small cost compared with the lost output from neglect.

The brand does warranty repairs. We file the claim and replace the part after approval, and we do all other after-sales service.
