About the brand
Solis inverters are made by Ginlong Technologies, a company founded in 2005 in Ningbo, China. The brand sells grid-tied and hybrid inverters in many countries, and its models are installed on homes, shops and larger buildings in Pakistan.
That international reach means datasheets, firmware and monitoring apps are widely available. It does not tell you anything about a particular model, so the questions below still apply.
We list the sizes people ask about most. Ask us for the exact model line when you want a quote.

Hybrid or on-grid Solis: how to choose
A Solis on-grid inverter suits a home or shop that uses most of its power in daylight and does not need backup. It costs less, and it switches off when the grid fails.
A Solis hybrid inverter adds battery support and a backup output. It suits homes with long outages. It costs more and needs a battery that is on the compatibility list.
Choose by your outage hours and your daytime use. If you are not sure, send us your bill and your area. We will tell you which type gives you better value.
Questions to ask about any Solis quote
These work for every brand, and they matter more when a quote is low.
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Which exact model code is this? | Lines and generations differ in features and in warranty |
| Is it a genuine import with a serial number? | Serial numbers are needed for a warranty claim |
| Who in Pakistan honours the warranty? | The claim goes to the importer or seller, not the factory |
| Which batteries are approved with it? | Mismatched batteries can fail to communicate |
| Can it be set for the utility requirements? | The settings letter is part of a grid application |
| Does it have a monitoring app? | Monitoring shows how much solar power you use and export |
Sizing and pairing with panels
The inverter size comes from your loads. Add the running watts of everything that must work together, then allow for start-up surge on motors. Panels are then sized to suit.
A hybrid inverter often pairs with an array of about the same size, or a little more. Read the maximum PV input power and voltage on the datasheet. Our 585 W panel guide shows how panel voltage limits string length.
Net billing and your inverter
Under net billing, power you export earns far less than power you use. A monitoring app helps you see the split. Read our net billing guide to see why self-use matters more than before.
How warranty claims work with us
If a part fails under warranty, we file the claim with the brand and replace the part once the brand approves it. The time depends on the brand's approval. Repairs under warranty are done by the brand. All other after-sales service is done by us.
