Solar Fan and Cooler Price in Karachi

Fans are the cheapest way to stay cool on solar. Coolers help in dry heat and much less in humid Karachi air.

Why fans are a good first load

A fan moves air and draws little power. A basic ceiling fan may use around 70 to 80 W, while a DC or inverter ceiling fan uses around 30 to 40 W for similar airflow. Run six fans for ten hours and the gap is large.

Because of that, a modest solar system can keep fans going through a long cut. A small UPS is often enough. See our solar UPS guide.

Coolers and Karachi humidity

An evaporative air cooler works by evaporating water, and evaporation is slow when the air is already wet. Karachi's humidity averages about 61 percent over the year and is higher in the summer months, around 75 percent in August.

In that air a cooler adds moisture and gives much less cooling than in dry heat. It still moves air and can feel better than a closed room, but do not expect the cooling of an air conditioner.

Coolers draw more power than a fan. Many use a fan motor plus a small water pump. If you want a cooler on solar, check its rated watts and plan the system for it.

Powering fans through a cut

An invented example with six inverter fans.

  1. 1

    Add up the fans

    Six fans at 35 W each is 210 W.

  2. 2

    Choose the hours

Run them for 8 hours in the evening and night. That is 1.68 kWh.

  3. 3

    Size the battery

With lithium at 0.9 usable, you need about 1.9 kWh. With tubular at 0.5, about 3.4 kWh.

  4. 4

    Add the lights and router

Another 60 to 80 W for lights and a router raises the figures by about a third.

Do the fan swap before the solar

Changing six old ceiling fans for inverter fans cuts the fan load roughly in half. That can let you buy a smaller battery and fewer panels. It is often the cheapest saving in the whole project, so do it first.

Ask on WhatsApp

Yes. Fans draw little power, and a small solar system or UPS can run several through a long cut.

They use less power than basic AC fans, so they stretch the battery. Inverter and BLDC AC fans give a similar saving.

They help less than in dry places because the air is humid. They move air and add some cooling, but not as much as an AC.

In the day, many, since a fan is about 35 W. At night it depends on the battery.

It depends on the type and brand. Send what you need and we will quote.
