What buyers should know about Longi
Longi is a Chinese manufacturer and one of the large names in the global panel market. In Karachi you will see its panels sold under the Hi-MO name, in several wattages.
Longi uses different product series, and the model name changes with each generation. That is why two quotes that both say 'Longi 585 W' can describe different panels. The series, the cell design and the warranty can all differ.

Fewer large panels or more small ones
A 645 W panel and a 585 W panel give a different layout for the same system size. These are planning figures, and the datasheet of your panel gives exact sizes.

The panel counts follow from simple multiplication. Your inverter input limits and roof shape can change the final layout.
Large panels: the practical trade-offs
A large panel means fewer pieces to mount, fewer clamps and shorter cable runs. On a roof with a clear flat area this saves labour.
But each large panel is heavier and harder to carry up a narrow staircase. Two workers can usually handle it, but a roof reached by a ladder or a tight shaft makes the job harder. Ask the installer how the panels will reach the roof.
Large panels also catch more wind force each. The structure and the anchoring must be sized for the panel you choose. Do not accept a structure designed for a smaller panel.
Questions to put to the seller
These questions work for any Longi quote.

- What are the panel dimensions and weight?
- What is the temperature coefficient of power?
- Who honours the warranty in Pakistan, and how do I claim?
- Does the invoice show the model name and the sales tax?
Heat, salt and dust in Karachi
Karachi is hot and humid, with an average daily maximum of about 35.7°C in May and June and average humidity near 61 percent. Panels lose a little output as they heat up, and salt air attacks metal parts over time.

How warranty claims work with us
If a part fails under warranty, we file the claim with the brand and replace the part once the brand approves it. The time depends on the brand's approval. Repairs under warranty are done by the brand. All other after-sales service is done by us.
